San Diego, mark it down. On Saturday, September 5th, 2026, Viejas Arena becomes the epicenter of West Coast rap energy when the Who Wants the Smoke Tour hits the SDSU campus. This isn’t one headliner. This isn’t two. This is a full California hip-hop takeover — co-headlined by OhGeesy and Mike Sherm, with a supporting lineup that includes Kalan.FrFr, SOB x RBE, 03 Greedo, Big Sad 1900, Lil Kayla, Lil Maru, Lou Deezi, Peysoh, Malaynah, and EKE. Doors open at 7PM. This is all ages.
And yes — Lil Maru is San Diego’s own. The city is going to feel that one differently.

What Is the Who Wants the Smoke Tour?
This isn’t your typical one-headliner concert format. The Who Wants the Smoke Tour is a full-on California hip-hop festival experience compressed into one arena night — a rotating roster of the West Coast’s most relevant rap voices, all on the same stage, all in one city. It’s the kind of show where you come in knowing three artists and leave knowing ten.
Every date on this tour has been a high-energy, high-capacity event that brings out the real ones. San Diego is one of the most anticipated stops — and with Lil Maru hometown repping, this city has extra reason to show up and show out.
OhGeesy: Shoreline Mafia’s West Coast Original
Alejandro Lloyd Carranza, known professionally as OhGeesy, is an American rapper from Los Angeles and a founding member of the hip-hop group Shoreline Mafia. If you know the West Coast trap scene at all — you know Shoreline. The group was formed in 2012 by graffiti artists and rappers, influenced by Max B, 50 Cent, Three 6 Mafia, and Gucci Mane.
The group emerged from informal collaborations in South Central, emphasizing high-energy party anthems over introspective lyricism — which distinguished their sound within West Coast rap’s evolving trap subgenre. Early records on SoundCloud built a loyal street following, and then “Musty” went viral and changed everything. Shoreline signed to Atlantic Records in 2018 and released the Billboard-charting Party Pack, Vol. 2 in 2019, followed by their studio debut Mafia Bidness in 2020, which climbed into the U.S. Top 30.
After the group’s hiatus, OhGeesy shifted to a solo career with his debut solo album Geezyworld, which peaked at number 102 on the Billboard 200. Then in 2024, Fenix and OhGeesy reunited as a duo and released the single “Heat Stick,” followed by the full-length Back in Bidness in 2025 and Bidness Is Boomin in 2026.
OhGeesy also performed “Geekaleek” alongside Fenix Flexin at Kendrick Lamar’s massive “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends” concert at the Kia Forum in 2024. When Kendrick calls you to the stage for his biggest moment — you’ve earned your stripes.

Mike Sherm: The Bay’s Unfiltered Voice
Mike Sherm is a rapper born September 30, 1996, in Antioch, California — part of the East Bay’s vibrant hip-hop scene that shaped his unapologetic style from a young age. He started uploading music to SoundCloud as early as 2011, building his following the old-fashioned way — track by track, no shortcuts.
His style is known for being unfiltered and unapologetic, reflecting real-life experiences and street stories. The Bay Area has always had its own lane in hip-hop — hyphy, slick talk, raw storytelling — and Mike Sherm carries that tradition into the current era without apologizing for it.
His song “Asshole” has accumulated over 84 million streams, “Baby” over 54 million, and “Hot Nigga” over 45 million. These aren’t industry-manufactured numbers — they’re organic, fan-driven, built off years of consistency and authenticity. He’s appeared at Rolling Loud in Inglewood and continues to build his reach across California and beyond.
Mike Sherm and OhGeesy sharing a co-headline credit is exactly what this tour is about — two artists from different corners of California, different lanes of the West Coast sound, both with the credibility to hold an arena.

Kalan.FrFr: Roc Nation’s West Coast Melodic Force
Here’s where it gets San Diego personal. Kalan.FrFr, born Kalan Emani Montgomery on April 11, 1995, is a rapper and singer from Los Angeles County who fuses melodic R&B flows with gritty West Coast hip-hop bars.
But before the Roc Nation deal and the buzz — he attended San Diego State University as a scholarship football player, making an appearance in the 2014 Poinsettia Bowl. He walked the same campus as Viejas Arena sits on. On September 5th, he comes back — not as a student, but as a headliner.
His breakout mixtape TwoFr was recorded in a single emotional night after a breakup, gaining mythical status for tracks like “Star” and “Atlanta.” He signed with Roc Nation in 2021 to release his second album Two FrFr, which marked his first entry on the Billboard 200. He’s collaborated with Kendrick Lamar, Tyga, Mozzy, Dom Kennedy, Ty Dolla Sign, Blxst, and others. He describes his mission simply: “That’s the whole point of me being Kalan.FrFr — you’re going to get what’s real from me.”

SOB x RBE: Vallejo’s Black Panther-Certified Rap Group
SOB x RBE — which stands for Strictly Only Brothers x Real Boi Entertainment — is a hip-hop group founded in Vallejo, California in 2016 by Yhung T.O., DaBoii, Slimmy B, and Lul G. While still in their early teen years, Yhung T.O. and DaBoii worked on music with whatever rudimentary technology they had, often recording lo-fi songs on their phones.
Their rise is one of the most cinematic in Bay Area rap history. They built a strong local fanbase that expanded with the release of viral tracks like “Anti” and “Different.” Then came the moment that changed everything: Kendrick Lamar personally enlisted SOB x RBE for the Black Panther: The Album — he flew the group to Los Angeles and collaborated with them on the track “Paramedic!” which was certified platinum after the soundtrack received an Album of the Year Grammy nomination.
After a period of inactivity, SOB x RBE returned in 2026 and are now active again — and the Who Wants the Smoke Tour is part of that comeback. Hearing “Anti” or “Paramedic!” live in an arena setting is a full-circle moment for anyone who’s been following the Bay Area scene.

If you’ve been to an SDSU basketball game, you know this building. If you haven’t — here’s everything you need to know before September 5th.
📍 The Address
Viejas Arena is located at 5500 Canyon Crest Drive, San Diego, CA 92182, on the San Diego State University campus.
🚊 Take the Trolley — It’s the Move
The easiest way to get to Viejas Arena is on the San Diego Trolley Green Line, which stops at the SDSU Transit Center — an underground station about a ten-minute walk from the arena. On a Saturday night in September, the trolley eliminates every parking headache and surge pricing anxiety. Hop on, hop off, enjoy the show.
🅿️ If You’re Driving — Plan Ahead
The main on-site parking is the large multi-story SDSU Parking Lot 12, found directly opposite the entrance to Viejas Arena. Parking lots open 90 minutes before the event. On-site parking is payable by card or Apple Pay only — cash is not accepted. Get there early. September 5th is a Saturday night and this show will draw a full house.
👜 Clear Bag Policy — This Is Non-Negotiable
Viejas Arena is a clear bag only venue. Bags must be clear plastic or clear vinyl and may not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″, or a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag. Small purses, bags, clutches, or wallets — clear or non-clear — no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ are also allowed. No backpacks. Don’t show up with a regular bag and expect to get in. Plan ahead.
💳 Viejas Arena Is Cashless
Viejas Arena is a cashless venue. If you only have cash, visit one of the no-fee cash-to-card kiosks located behind the Ticket Office at the Main Gate or at Gate 3. Save yourself the stop and just bring your card or mobile pay.
🎵 The Sound and Sightlines Are Excellent
Fans praise Viejas Arena’s crisp acoustics, smart bowl design, and easy in-arena flow, which create an intimate feel while still delivering big-arena energy. For end-stage concerts, seating capacity is around 12,200. This is not a massive amphitheater where you’re watching on a screen from 300 feet away. You will feel this show.
🕖 Doors at 7PM — Don’t Be Late
This is a multi-artist lineup with over ten performers. The show starts at 7PM and runs through the night. Showing up late means missing real music from artists you came to see. Get there when doors open.
