A Hub for Diverse Art Forms Queen Bee’s, nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of North Park, has long been a cornerstone of San Diego’s arts scene. Founded in 2008 by Alma Rodriguez, the center has flourished into a dynamic venue, hosting everything from salsa dancing and spoken word to comedy nights and the annual San Diego Beatles Fair.

Celebration Highlights:

• Kick-off Reception: The festivities begin at noon with a lively reception.
• Official Proclamation: At 1:30 PM, witness a special reading from the City of San Diego, honoring Queen Bee’s contributions.
• Live Music Performances: Immerse in diverse genres with shows at 2 PM (rock/pop), 4 PM (jazz), and 7 PM (swing).
• Swing Dance Lessons: Free lessons at 6 PM by the renowned Mercedes Moore.
• Gourmet Delights: Relish in a cocktail lounge and gourmet taco bar.
