Marketing Post Pandemic

As a business, or brand, you have to literally hold your potential customer’s hand and show them exactly what they’re getting via videos and photos, Otherwise, they’ll stay at home, or, they’ll do something else.

The most likely reason for that is because, in 2020, so many people were stuck at home, and during that time, so many brands and creators were trying to capture the attention of those millions of people just sitting at home, so, the brands and the creators had to become very detailed and very creative, in order to obtain, and maintain the viewer’s attention.

Now, that format of content creation has become the standard.

As a result of our society consuming so much content at a high volume, most people don’t like or want to have to “pay to explore” anymore Or pay to discover things on their own. Most of the content has been spoon-fed to the viewer. So, in essence, the experiences that you will acquire need to be spoon-fed as well. And, yes, some still like to venture out, sure, But, the post-pandemic typical consumer model is, consumers, want to be shown in entirety what they are getting and then, they’ll make a purchasing decision. That means, as a business, you can’t leave any information out, or else that could be the difference between the consumer making an alternate decision.

Back in the day, if you heard of a new spot, you might want to go venture out on your own, but, Nowadays, most folks want to know exactly what they are getting and what they are paying for, before they ever even attempt to go out and spend money at said establishment.

Over the course of the last three years, our attention span has become ridiculously low, yet, we still require a ridiculously HIGH amount of content, even though we have an extremely low capacity for intake.

It’s a lot of next, next, next, scroll, scroll, scroll, swipe, swipe, swipe, oh, what’s this!?

Now, it’s gotten to the point, well, okay, so, how do you grab someone’s attention?

The question always arises, “What am I getting if I go to that new seafood restaurant?”

Potential Customers want to see the signature pink fish on the wall in the video.  What’s the best item on the menu? That has to be in the video. What’s the decor? What kind of people go there? That should all be showcased in the video.

Many people won’t venture out to discover the pink fish signature wall on their own anymore, and there’s way too much competition out there for a brand to not put out the signature presence that sets that business apart from others.

That’s why the influencer walk-through videos at these new, trendy, and popular establishments are so prominent because people like seeing the experience, firsthand.

We’re basically in a digital “try before you buy” market.

It’s either that or, people have just found new ways to find entertainment without having to always have to “go out.”

So, now, as a business, not only are you competing with other businesses, you’re also competing with, the couch and Netflix.

Now EVERY brand, every company, and every venue has to be creative, detailed, and, precise in the way that they market their business, or else they are losing. 🤷🏾‍♂️
