The Venue

The venue itself is downstairs, with an intimate feel, leveled up by the candle light, purple walls, and picture perfect décor, that makes sing to your favorite song live on your Instagram. The club has been recently upgraded in the past couple of years, and gives you that cool underground, jazz club feel… like something you might see regularly on the East Coast. There is plenty of seating, and even high top tables, to relax and enjoy the music without feeling pushed around by a crowded dancefloor.

Live Entertainment

At least once a month you can catch J. Boykins, the international saxophonist, gracing the venue with his smooth R&B sounds that takes the sexy ambiance up a level. He is a millennial saxophonist and has played with and opened with artists like Ledisi and Frankie Beverly & Mase, and John Legend. He’s also worked with smooth jazz artists like Kirk Whalum, Take 6, Brian Culbertson, and Doc Powell. During his performances at F6ix, he will play anything from Drake to Tevin Campbell, which makes his performances perfect with the R&B DJs the venue is booking each Wednesday.

DJs

Speaking of DJs… what’s R&B night without your favorite DJs playing your favorite jams. Each week F6ix features 2 DJs for the R&B nights, which means you’re getting 2 different vibes. The opening DJ varies from week to week, each one with their different technique to warm up the crowd. At the peak of the night DJ Birdy Bird takes over the turntables, with his ability to take the crowd through a musical journey that they can’t resist. The funny thing about the R&B Wednesdays, is that the music is so good, its always a debate on whether or not people are going to be singing or dancing more throughout the night.

Drinks

The F6ix bartenders are serving up champagne and mixed cocktails, that will keep you swaying to the music throughout the night. They also offer a champagne ticket for only $10. The 8 p.m. start time, gives you just enough time to run home and slip on something nice, and the grab a couple of drinks mid-week. The midnight closing time, helps you stay a responsible adult and make it to work the next day! Its even easier if you grab a group of friends and get a VIP table with bottle service!

Food

Chef Ray is in the kitchen throwing down on soul food plates, so dinner doesn’t even have to be an issue. His plates are available through the whole night including fried chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens, and cornbread.
