The training focuses on bridging the gap between mental health needs and resources by offering immediate assistance, leading to culturally tailored resources or professional help.

What makes this training unique?
BMHFR integrates Africentric principles and cultural understanding to ensure the program addresses the specific needs of the Black community. This approach offers not only practical skills but also an understanding of cultural nuances, ensuring support is both effective and compassionate.

Training Key Components:

Learn effective communication strategies for engaging with individuals experiencing mental health challenges while respecting their cultural context and addressing potential resistance.

Explore strategies to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health within the Black community, normalizing mental health conversations and encouraging openness.
